Four years.

Four years have passed,
Yet, I still wished I had stayed.
It wasn't long ago,
But time grew.
I’ve moved on a whole lot,
Yet a huge part of me is still stuck.
Glued to the past,
Refusing to move along.

I remember,
How I last saw you.
I remember,
All of you.

It's not easy to forget.
It's never going to be.

Every wish I wish for,
Always on my mind,
Everything I say,
Everything I think,
It's you.

I'd want you back,
Even if I live less.
I want you back,
To hold on tight,
I want you back,
For one small fight,
I want you back,
For today, for tomorrow,
I want you back,
For all the days left.
I want you back,
For another song,
I want you back,
Lifelong.

Four years have passed,
And you are all I want.
Four years have passed,
You are all I need.
Four years have gone,
And so will many more.

Sometimes

There is so much glee,
Oodles of joy,
Multiple colours,
All to soak in and share,
Sometimes, I feel it's not enough.

Secrets shared,
Silly jokes,
Screams of ecstasy,
Gossip and reality checks,
Sometimes, I feel there is something missing.

I run with happy news,
With crazy talks,
brimming with joy,
I tell everyone,
But,
Sometimes, I still feel I haven't told someone.

So close you were to me,
I lost a part of me,
More still,
I lost you,
My best friend.
And,
Sometimes, I miss you.

Finally

It wasn't love,
It was an attraction.
But, I loved you.

First, yes it was you,
And then there were others,
But it was always you.

I knew it wasn't good,
I needed to stop,
But, I felt good.

We spoke about the future,
About Obama,
About the deep blue walls,
About me and you.

I know it wasn't true,
But I had a soft corner,
For you.

Years passes by,
and every time I saw you,
I fell for you,
But, not any more.
I think I'm finally over you,
I finally outgrew you.

Illusionist.

I look at the stars all night,
You shine through them.
I dream of yesterday,
You were a part of it.
I hold on to my memory,
For that's all of you I have.

Years have gone by,
I can no longer hear your voice,
or feel the warmth in your hugs,
And I'm left with an aching pain.

But, when I need you,
I find you around,
As the support of kith and kin,
As the little voice within,
As phone calls, messages,
and small quotes I chance upon.

Hallucinating, maybe that's what to call it,
But, the coincidence, it's redundant.
And I don't mind them,
For they are a part of you,
the memory I hold on to.
